#7: Beauty and The Beast (1991)
When you think about pause-worthy moments, are you thinking about the animated classics? Probably not. It’s interesting to watch these types of movies hold their own among a sea of newer, more technologically advanced films. Disney is the creator of yet another most-paused scene in their animated film Beauty and the Beast.

Gaston is the villain here, and he gets all of the villagers together to attack the castle. He rallies the crowd and grooms them to hate the Beast. Onlookers can see him stumble and fall to his death, but those who look even closer can take note of the cartoonist’s added detail – skulls in the pupils of his eyes. This has to be foreshadowing because his death occurs very shortly after this scene.
