Book Ran Out of Batteries
Imagine being super engrossed in a book and only having 30 pages to go when you have to stop abruptly because you’re out of batteries! Wait, what? As the OP’s friend pointed out, this is indeed one of the most 21st century statements we’ve read recently.
We live in a world where most of our appliances including phones, TVs, refrigerators, and even cars are smarter than us and books run on batteries. Well, as much as we love technology and how convenient life has become because of it, situations like this make us miss the good old days. Real books would never do this to us!
