It gets dirtier than that?
Let’s make fun of the Finnish language again. The English language consists of roughly 170,000. Can you guess how many words are in the Finnish vocabulary? If you guessed 600,000, you’re off by about 200,000. That’s right, there are more than 800,000 Finnish words.
To illustrate how complex this language is, take a look at the picture above. Loska is a word to describe dirty, slushy snow. The weird thing is that the dirty, slushy snow in the picture doesn’t make the Helsinkian standard of loska. It gets a lot dirtier and slushier than that, apparently. Loska is probably the stuff you pull out of the car’s rear axles.
