Bad guys will use all kinds of methods to break into your home. One of the classics is pretending that their car broke down and needing to borrow a phone to make a call. Even in such cases, if you really want to help, you can offer to make the call for them by asking which number they need to call. But under no circumstances should you let them in.
Thankfully, this grandmother had the smarts not to. In fact, she smelled something fishy in the air when this stranger knocked on her door. The guy fled when he saw she was armed with a shotgun and was caught a week later. Turns out, he was using a fake story to gain entrance into people’s homes.
