Unsaid goodbyes
If the previous stories haven’t convinced you to listen to your gut, perhaps this one will. Sometimes, your heart and soul will try to communicate with you, and if they do, you should always listen. You never know what sort of opportunities you might miss.
In this story, the OP was an hour away from home at a friend’s house. Late at night, their gut was telling them to go home, but he stifled the urge and instead opted to stay put. It turns out that the following morning, his father suffered a stroke and didn’t make it. However, nobody could’ve guessed what would happen, and even though he’ll regret this decision for the rest of his life, he certainly shouldn’t blame himself.
