Grocery Shopping
There are several differences between cultures regarding food; preparation, where and how you get the food, and the available food options. There are massive outdoor markets every day in some countries where food is harvested fresh and brought in to be sold. In other countries, there are indoor stores where you buy food items that are imported and sold on shelves.
Foreign to the United States, a visitor went shopping with a friend who lived there and was culture-shocked by their shopping experience. Inside the store, there was so much food! There were coupons, loyalty cards, rewards points, and price tags on everything. To their surprise, the citizen friend didn’t even pay attention to the price of anything and simply got everything she wanted.
