Why Did the Elephant Cross the Road?
If you’ve traveled a long distance to get to your destination, it is easy to be caught off guard or culture-shocked upon arrival. In Southeast Asian countries, traffic is a common culture shock as there is a lack of rules and regulations for driving. You may see citizens riding on a moped without helmets or with several people crammed on.
While visiting Thailand, a young 15-year-old experienced something you don’t see every day. Driving on a busy road the young visitor looked out his window and was culture-shocked by what they saw. An elephant roaming about on the same busy road. Just strolling by. What a sight that would be!
