The Blind Community
How elderly and disabled people are viewed varies greatly within communities. Many people cannot afford to be taken care of or receive proper medical treatment in some countries. In other countries, there are entire communities dedicated to people with similar disabilities.
Specifically, in a blind community, interaction is very different than the mainstream. Blind people must feel their way around the environment. During visitation, they may want to feel your face or hands to get a sense of what you look like. They pick up on verbal cues since body language is a visual barrier.
