Before starring in The Drew Carey Show (1995) and hosting The Price Is Right (1972), Drew Carey struggled financially while pursuing comedy. In the early 1980s, he lived in Las Vegas and survived on limited money, reportedly selling his blood plasma to raise cash. He eventually moved toward California and built a successful comedy career.
