#29: Tarzan (1999)

Misquote: “Me Tarzan, you Jane.”
Real quote: This line was never spoken verbatim in the early Tarzan films.

“Me Tarzan, you Jane” is one of the most iconic lines from the beloved tale Tarzan, but this line was never actually spoken in any of the movie renditions. It’s believed that Tarzan utters this line on his first interaction with Jane, when he learns how to speak English. It was invented as part of a parody and a way to simplify this interaction and boil it down to one key line.
