Iconic Movie Lines That Are Often Misquoted

Misquote: “Well, here’s another fine mess you’ve gotten us into.”

Real quote: “Well, here’s another nice mess you’ve gotten me into.”

This 1930 comedy/horror film is a cult classic. Even if you’ve never watched the film (and people born after a certain decade probably haven’t), you might be familiar with this quote from the movie. Except, the original line doesn’t say “fine mess” but “nice mess.” It’s a small thing, but it’s a misquote nonetheless.
