Iconic Movie Lines That Are Often Misquoted

Misquote: “I’m ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille.”

Real Quote: “All right, Mr. DeMille. I’m ready for my close-up.”

Fittingly, this is a case of “close enough.” The misquoting isn’t that bad, keeping the meaning of the quote intact. Either way, Norma thinks she’s being filmed for a new movie when she’s actually being arrested for murder. But still, misquotes are misquotes. If I were a teacher, I’d give this a C+ for at least being somewhat in the ballpark.
