Cross-Dressing? Straight to Jail
There was a law in Cuba that prohibited people from cross-dressing in public. However, you were free to wear whatever you wanted in the privacy of your home—something that many people chose to do. Still, having to conceal your true self while hiding it from those who mean the world to you must be a burden.
Thankfully, the laws regarding cross-dressing have been lifted somewhat. In fact, people can proudly wear clothes of the opposite gender out in public, and many choose to do so during the Gunilla Event. The government has taken a step back from dictating the personal lives of their citizens, though there are still shadows of old-fashioned ways of thinking.
