Casa Particulares
While booking your flight to Cuba, you’re going to have to think about lodging. You can pretty much find a hotel by tapping twice on your screen, but that’s not the case in Cuba. There aren’t very many hotels in the island country. With so few hotels and so many tourists, you’d be lucky to get a reservation.

That doesn’t mean you have to sleep in a church or on the beach. Just look for private-owned homes that are licensed to rent out to tourists. They’re called Casa Particulares, which much means private homestay. They cost between $25 and $45 on average, which isn’t that bad for a tropical paradise.
