When it comes to sports that Cubans dominate, boxing is probably on top of that list. Cuba is regarded to produce championship boxer after championship boxer, and it’s not that hard to see why. Throughout Cuba’s participation in the Olympics, the country has managed to collect 37 gold medals, 19 silver medals, and 17 bronze medals.
And that’s not all! Outside of the Olympic boxing ring, 71 Cubans have managed to take home the championship belt in their respective weight classes. So, just a heads up to those who want to travel to Cuba: don’t piss off any Cubans! Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
