8th Largest Island Nation
Believe it or not, that tiny island just 90 miles off the coast of Key West, Florida, is quite large. It doesn’t look like it on the map, but it has a land mass of around 42,500 square miles. It’s the largest of the Caribbean islands, the 17th largest island, and ranks 8th largest in island nations.
This seemingly tiny country with only 38,000 miles of roads has a coastline that measures over 3,700 miles. So, if you do head on down to Cuba, make sure you pack a lot of sunscreen because you’ve got a lot of traveling to do.
