The Secret of Samuel J. Seymour and Lincoln
At the tender age of only five, Samuel Seymour’s parents accompanied him to the theater to see the production of a play called “Our American Cousin” at the Ford Theater in Washington D.C. The case is dated to April 14, 1865. By accident, on the same date, John Wilkes Booth had murdered Abraham Lincoln in the same theater.
In 1956, the CBS game show, “I have a secret,” featured Seymour for spilling the beans of his secretive past.
