Minimum wage. It can be a sore and sensitive subject for a lot of people, whipping up people on both sides of the political divide into quite a frenzy. In the United States, the federal minimum wage has been $7.25 for years, and every attempt to raise that minimum threshold seems to get shut down.

And if you’ve never tried to live on minimum wage, it’s not easy. One organization found that there is no state in the US where you can afford a one-bedroom apartment while making minimum wage. So I guess until the US government or Santa pulls through, you just need to do your absolute best not to be stuck at a minimum wage job.
