#31: Measurements Matter
The Fahrenheit/Celsius thing has definitely caused no small amount of confusion over the years. Some stories have a very different meaning when you finally realize just how cold or hot it was. A recent story I read about a girl being stuck outside in -8 degree weather hits very differently in Fahrenheit vs. Celsius.
So I understand the idea behind this image. But let me tell you, as someone who lives in a place where it gets very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer: 30 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Fahrenheit are both absolutely nothing. Celsius means I might need to put on the AC. Fahrenheit means I might need to put on a light jacket. It needs to go above 100 degrees or below 20 degrees Fahrenheit for me to start being bothered by the temperature.
