#25: Pokemon Peril
Ah, Pokemon Go. Who else remembers those strange and heady early days of Pokemon Go, where it seemed like the whole world—even people who’d never played Pokemon before in their lives—was heading outside to catch Pokemon? When people were congregating at local libraries and ruining their lawns and leaving trash everywhere? Those were magical days.
And while I sound facetious, I do think that it’s great that it got so many people to go outside and walk more than they otherwise would have done. But sometimes, “Go outside” isn’t helpful advice. Imagine there was a tornado. Imagine gunshots had been fired. Imagine both had happened at once. That’s a time you should probably stay where it’s safe.
