#21: A Mystifying Experience
Storytime: one time, I went to the UK, and we rented a car and immediately drove off into the wilds of Kent, and we were driving down these tiny country roads that were barely wide enough to fit our car, and between that and the fact that I wasn’t used to driving on the left side of the road, I kept panicking every time we passed a car and eventually crashed into a curb and popped our tire.
So I totally sympathize with this person who was utterly mystified by driving in the UK. Because filling up with gas was a nightmare there too. Why is it measured in liters? Unless your gas tank is the size of a tea kettle, that’s not particularly efficient. Add to that the fact that gas in Europe is often incredibly expensive, and it’s a difficult experience all around.
