24. Storing eggs and dairy
We don’t want to point any fingers, but if we had to blame someone for this common mistake, it would be the people responsible for the refrigerator design. All refrigerators come with a designated compartment for eggs and another one for milk on the refrigerator’s door. However, it seems as if not a lot of thought was put into this, seeing as storing eggs and milk on the door isn’t benefiting the products.
Studies have shown that shelves and compartments at the top half of the fridge are warmer than the bottom parts. Since eggs and dairy are products that could spoil easily, storing them at the lower, cooler parts of the fridge might be a good idea.
