30. Brushing routine
We already went over the importance of brushing our teeth, but there’s a lot more to oral hygiene than meets the eye. We brush, we floss, we rinse, we gargle – usually in that order, and that might be a mistake. Although we’re all at a hurry in the morning, experts say we need to at least wait thirty minutes after brushing and before moving on to the rinsing and gargling.
Those thirty minutes are crucial for the toothpaste to kick in and do its job. That’s why it’s advised to wait at least thirty minutes before rinsing and gargling. We don’t all have this time in the morning, but try and remember this at least while brushing your teeth at night – otherwise, using the toothpaste becomes ineffective.
