23. Doing sit ups
We’re not here to say you’ve been doing sit-ups wrong your entire life (perhaps you have, but that’s besides the point), but that you should consider stop doing them altogether. We’ve always been told that sit-ups are the ultimate way to tone our abs, but according to experts, that’s not necessarily the case. As it turns out, sit-ups are the least favorable exercise for toning our abs.
Sit-ups are not nearly as beneficial for abs as planks, for example, and on top of that, they could be harmful for our back and spine. Today, trainers know there are plenty of other exercises which are healthier for our bodies, and more beneficial than sit-ups.
