Everyone has their favorite sleeping position – on the stomach, on the back, on the side, with one leg bent, etc. However, turns out that sleeping on our stomach, while it is comfortable, might not be good for our bodies. We’re not saying we’ll stop doing it, but we’re putting the information out there.
According to chiropractors, sleeping on the stomach might cause twisting of the spine. There are more bad news; when we sleep on our stomach, we usually have one leg bent (it just feels so natural, we can’t control it), and that might hinder the flow of our blood and nerve signals. Sounds pretty dramatic, I know. Give a change to different sleeping positions and see how it feels.
