#14: The Crescent Hotel – United States

In 1886, The Crescent Hotel opened in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, as a luxurious Victorian resort. Its story took a dark turn, however, when Norman Baker bought it. He turned the beautiful hotel into a hospital and promoted his own fraudulent treatments as cures for cancer. Many people came seeking hope and died within its walls. The building eventually returned to its original purpose, but the grim past remains. Now operating as a hotel again, it has a haunted reputation. People can still stay the night or simply take a tour.
