600,000 PDP members in Ebony State decamp to Labour Party

Politics in Ebony State is taking a different turn as people are busy scrambling  for political posts at all costs. Call it politics of the stomach and you may not be wrong

Political jobbers and sycophants are busy jostling for any possible political posts available, doing anything within their power to get it and throwing the entire state into chaos in the process.

News reaching us through our correspondents has it that about 600,000 members of PDP in Ebonyi state, including two serving members of the House of Representatives, the senator representing Ebonyi North senatorial zone in the National Assembly, Chief Chris Nwankwo, 15 members of the state House of Assembly, commissioners and opinion leaders, on Wednesday defected to Labour Party. A renowned industrialist and chief executive of Barcelona Hotel in Abuja, Mr.Edward Nkwegu has been elected the party’s governorship candidate.

There are also many others who clinched the party’s ticket. they includes, Senator Chris Nwankwo, vying for Ebonyi North senatorial zone, Chief Sam Agom Eze for Ebonyi South senatorial zone and Chief Elechi Nnana Elechi for Central zone.

Candidates were elected to vie for the six federal constituencies in the state and the 24 state constituencies for the state House of Assembly.
