Lightning Strikes
Let’s not get too excited because being struck by lightning is not exactly a walk in the park. According to the experts, the odds of being struck by lightning in your lifetime are about 1 in 15,000. So, if you’re lucky, go ahead and stroll during a thunderstorm. Just kidding, don’t do that!
Lightning can cause serious injury or even death. If you hear thunder, head indoors and wait until the storm passes. And if you’re caught outside and can’t find shelter, avoid water and tall objects, and try to crouch down with as little of your body touching the ground as possible.
