If you’re struggling to entertain your kids then baking is often an easy activity to turn to. You can whip up a batch of cupcakes, brownies, or flapjacks in no time at all and with minimal mess. Well, as long as you keep an eye on them when the flour is being poured in, that is. When it comes to decorating, though, it’s a different story.
Thankfully, I have a cheap and easy way to minimize the kitchen carnage that can often ensue. These paint palettes from the dollar store are a perfect size and shape for the job. Pop your lovingly baked cupcake in the middle compartment and then all of your toppings around the outside. No fighting over sprinkles, and less mess for mom to clean up.
