A Calendar of Large Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
The first grilled cheese sandwich was made by James B. McGill, a Boston University student, in 1817. He was inspired by the grilled ham and cheese sandwiches he had for lunch one day. He made a sandwich by spreading butter and cheese on a piece of bread and then putting it under a hot grill.
But we’re curious to see what sort of grill the Universe used to create this massive grilled cheese sandwich. Is some massive creature just dropping grilled cheese sandwiches everywhere? And how common do rock formations end up looking like delicious sandwiches after billions of years of erosion?
