Disembarking Can Be Stressful
Expectation: You’ve had a fantastic cruise and want to cap off your vacation with a bang. You might expect it to look like your onboarding, which was infused with Disney magic and made you feel as though you were going on a date with Snow White and Mickey Mouse in Fairyland.
Reality: While small and luxury ships may have more flexible, even leisurely disembarkation schedules, most large ships’ final day is a shambles. The staff needs to get everyone out of their cabins and off the ship as soon as possible so they can prepare for the next wave of thousands of passengers. It’s been a long day at work.
