There are probably many people who don’t realize this was a real vehicle and not something made up for Back to the Future. Yes, the 1985 movie series made the DeLorean a cool time-traveling car, but by then, it was too late. To quote Marty McFly, “I guess you guys aren’t ready for that yet. But your kids are gonna love it.”
