#13: Original Clackers (1960s-early 1970s)
Clackers are toys consisting of two spheres on a string, and when you swing them, they make a “clicking noise.” They were a favorite among kids back in the day, but they were quickly changed for an obvious reason: they were made from tempered glass.

Despite being tempered, they were no match for rowdy kids, and they would shatter, possibly hurting some kids in the process. In recent years, these toys have been made from safer plastics, and it’s easy to see why.
