#20: McSalad Shakers

Going to McDonald’s for a salad is a hard sell. But in 2000, McDonald’s wanted a healthier image, so they introduced a cool way to eat a salad on the go: a salad in a cup. You open the lid, pour the dressing inside, close the lid, and then shake it like a Polaroid picture.

The result was that the dressing left a cloudy residue inside your cup. You can find pictures of a shaken-up McSalad online, and yeah, it doesn’t look that appetizing, which is probably why it was discontinued in 2003. I can feel the contents of my stomach shaking up just looking at it. Plus, there are rumors that the McSalad Shaker was made from the leftover veggies that belonged on the burgers.
