Dunkaroos paired small cookies with a separate compartment of frosting, encouraging children to control a dessert process adults would never have approved. Launched in 1990, they disappeared from American shelves in 2012 while remaining available elsewhere. General Mills revived them in 2020, but longtime fans argue the cookies, frosting, and portion sizes differ from their memories.
