#2: Wendy’s Breakfast Croissants (1985, 2007, 2020)
Wendy’s has had a troubled history with breakfast in general, entering the market later than its competitors. Their first attempt was in 1985, with a menu consisting of fresh omelets and even all-you-can-eat French toast. While I would have eaten as much French toast as my stomach could physically allow, this model failed to understand why people get breakfast at fast food places instead of a diner.

They tried again in 2007 but scaled back in 2012, then relaunched a breakfast menu in 2020. Depending on the location, you can still get breakfast there, and if you get it, it’s pretty good! I hope that the third time’s a charm.
