#18: Love My Lava
Lava lamps are still around as a novelty item, but in the 1970s, it was actually cool to have one. It was like having a test tube of mystery goo floating around for all eternity. The glow of those lamps also created the perfect vibe for a night of listening to Pink Floyd and contemplating life. I feel like grabbing Dark Side of the Moon on vinyl and a lava lamp and feeling 17 again—just with more gray hair and a poor back.
