Edge of the World
Have you ever played any open-world video games and reached the edge of the map? These days, games have all sorts of creative ways to either warn you or punish you, for trying to walk off the map. Most of the time you’ll get a message like “You can’t go that way”, and the game creates an invisible wall, preventing you from going any further. This path covered in snow gives us the same weird feeling but in real life.
It’s almost as if we’re looking at the edge of our world, making it seem like we’ve stumbled on something we weren’t supposed to. If you look at this picture long enough, you might become aware of the boundaries of your reality. Like we said earlier, maybe all the “world is a simulation” conspiracy theorists weren’t crazy after all.
