There’s no denying that some areas in the U.S. are more religious than others. Especially in the South (though not only), it’s not uncommon to see religious symbols in public places and people’s houses.

We don’t know where this person traveled from, but it seemed pretty unusual to them to be confronted with religion so much. Patriotism is another thing that took them bu surprise; they had seen in movies that Americans are pretty patriotic, but they figured it was an exaggerated stereotype. Yeah, it’s not.
