#21: Evening Meal Chatter
Talking over dinner may be the “norm” where you’re from. That’s the one hour a day when the family all sits around the same table and has a chance to talk. Or you might go out for a nice dinner with your friends or on a date. Either way, in many places around the world, mealtime equals conversation time. When you decide to move somewhere else, you may be culture-shocked by the vastly different dinner-time experiences.

She was culture-shocked during dinner with her American roommate and her friends, surrounded by discussions and chatter about the day.
