#28: Finish the Sentence…
There are some advertisements out there that even if they were missing half of their physical ad, we would still know what brand it is that is doing the advertising. Whether it be an old brand, a classic slogan, or even a color that is heavily associated with a product in our minds, sometimes we just know these things.
Take this billboard as an example… Half of the physical advertisement is missing, but due to the color association and the text that is visible, we already know that this is an advertisement for the ever-delicious candy bar, Kitkat. Everyone knows the sentence, “Have a break, have a KitKat” and therefore are reminded of a Kitkat when they see half the advertisement. We wonder if this was done on purpose…
