A Pirate of the Virtual Seas
This person is not a pirate of the seven seas, unfortunately. They don’t wear a wide-brimmed hat and a velvet coat with black buckled shoes and an eyepatch. They don’t ask why all the rum is gone. Instead, they pirate software off the internet. So much to the point that it’s become a daily thing.

People worked hard to create said software from scratch. Pirating is stealing that work and not properly paying those people for their tireless efforts to curate something necessary. Piracy is stealing like any other form of stealing, which could lead to other things – stealing bottles of soda from a store, for example. And then it all snowballs from there.
