Don’t Run

Okay, this one is an offense punishable by law. That’s not to say everyone who hits and runs is a cold-blooded criminal with no remorse for their actions. Sometimes the situation is just so intense, and you need a way out. An escape. But in this case, facing the consequences for your actions is the right, honorable thing to do.

If you accidentally hit, don’t run. Make up for it. Apologize to the person on the other end. Pay for whatever damages are incurred. Swap insurance information. Do what’s necessary to make the situation right. It’s far better to swallow your fear or pride and make things right. Taking responsibility for your actions never goes out of style.
