Petty Gifting
Well, Simon and James aren’t getting nice gifts this year! According to this person, their two nephews are little jerks, so they always give them “noticeably inferior” gifts in comparison to the presents they give the cousins. Sorry, Simon and James. Don’t be naughty and you will get nice gifts. That’s the rule.

While it’s quite a petty thing to do as an adult, it’s also a reminder of why we do the whole naughty/nice and Santa schtick with kids in the first place. It gives children an incentive to be good throughout the year. Then, if you get “noticeably inferior” presents, clearly you deserved them.
