World Championship Diving
Who doesn’t like the fuzzy feeling of plummeting to the ground from breakneck heights? So, here is what International Døds Federation came up with: a world championship diving contest. It is a whole other thing when FINA tries to hold such contests because you know professionals are going to be taking part in them. But when you see people randomly deciding to test their luck, there is always a hint of danger at hand.
It has now become this icon in goofy contests, started by a family in Norway as a “fun activity.” It has a two-part category system: Classical and Freestyle. They also allow Belly Flop jumping, which has become the primary source of attraction. It has even spawned its own nickname as “Dødsing.” There is even a jury that decides who wins the trophy in the end. Unsurprisingly, this event attracts a ton of young people.
