The World Sauna Championship
If sitting in a sauna sounds like a treat to you, think again. In this competition, held annually in Finland, participants are required to sit in a steaming sauna, to which water is added every 30 seconds. Unoriginally, the person who stays there the longest is crowned the winner. In other words, the last man sitting is the winner.

But wait, it gets more complicated: as if the steaming, 230° Fahrenheit sauna isn’t enough, there are certain sitting rules that make things even more difficult for contestants. Their hands and forearms must not touch the surface, and they must sit in a straight, rigid position. Naturally, a doctor’s note is required in order to participate.
