#8: Georgia O’Keeffe
Georgia O’Keeffe always saw the world differently than the rest of us. In 1915, she created Drawing XIII, a series of radical, abstract charcoal shapes that caught the attention of her future husband, Alfred Stieglitz. Her final solo piece, The Beyond, arrived in 1972. Macular degeneration stole her eyesight shortly after, making this horizon her final visual goodbye to the world.
