#11: Edward Hopper
Some believe Edward Hopper was obsessed with loneliness from a very young age. He sketched Little Boy Looking at the Sea in 1891 on the back of his third-grade report card when he was only 9 years old. His final work, Two Comedians, arrived in 1965. It shows two people taking a final bow together on a dark stage before stepping into the shadows, a touching farewell to his fans and his wife.
