#10: Caravaggio

Caravaggio painted Boy Peeling Fruit around 1592, a relatively bright and charming scene created shortly after he arrived in Rome. It was a peaceful start to a chaotic career. In 1610, he painted his final work, The Martyrdom of Saint Ursula. He was on the run from a murder charge at the time, which explains much of the final piece.
