No extended warranty, no product
In general, extended warranties are never worth it. Whether you’re buying a garden tool, a home appliance, or a smart device, it would probably be wiser to pay out of pocket to fix it after the original warranty expires. But this person’s workplace won’t sell you a product if you don’t dig deep in your wallet and pay for an extended warranty.
This, however, would be super-confusing for the shopper. Say the shopper doesn’t want an extended warranty, then the employee says they’re out of stock. What if the shopper changes their mind? “Oh, we checked again, and it’s in stock now! Hurray!” Then, if the shopper changes their mind yet again, what do they do?
